i guess i should have taken the advice on here about getting an upgraded gpr insted of the normal run of the mill autoparts store grp, less than 3 monthes after replacing my gpr its going out again

That's what I did - hooked a switch to the skinny wire supplying 12V to the primary side. Or you can switch out the ground side of the primary that gets switched to ground by the PCM. If your engine is hot you don't need your GPs. It'll help save the relay and GPs. DO NOT switch the fat high current wires on the secondary side of the relay going to the GPs!!!!
