Expo induction kit help...

Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting a 'mini' project on the go to keep me occupied so i would like to get on with making another custom air intake for my 2004 5.4 V8 Expo. The problem is, the standard intake looks so darn complicated, with junctions here, wires there, plugs all over the shop! haha...

Can anyone show me with pics what actually needs to be added to an intake pipe and what holes need to be where... if anyone has a good pic of a heat shield or induction box that would be appreciated.

I made one for my BMW 5 series in the UK, i made the heat shield from aluminium, cut and bent it to shape, had it Ceramic coated inside and out then fitted it to a custom intake pipe, again ceramic coated. i ended up using some neoprene protectant rubber on the inside of the heat shield to reduce induction noise as well as also act as a further heat protector.

Any pics would be appreciated, once i have mine made up i would be happy to let other people see the plans and then make their own etc...

not trying to steal anyones thunder, just looking for a side project!
