weird steering

i havent driven anything with big tires other than my truck so i dont know if this is common or not.

i figured without crossover, i would look like a truck driver from an old movie in there. you know, bouncing the steering wheel to keep it straight. but it doesnt really. sometimes it points the wheels in one direction slightly and is hard to keep pointing straight, but then it go back to normal.

one thing i thought is, theres a really old steering stabalizer shock on there, and maybe its blown out or getting close.

Steering stabilizers will have little to no effect on this problem, after all a stabilizer is only a damper.
Which front axle do you have? KP D60's can have issues similar to this when the tension on the KP spring is too low. Small spacers / washers can be used to provide more tension on the springs to help eliminate this problem.
I have also found that our trucks can have very wierd steering when the shackle bushings get worn, or need to be replaced.
Had an issue with mine not long ago. Typically my steering (crossover) is tight, and right on the money, but the truck developed a little wander on the highway. It would try to follow the grooves on the freeway, and required quite a bit of input to keep straight.
I chased this problem down (after much frustration) to the shackle bushings.
Once replaced, the old girl steers like a champ again.
Depending on your combo, you can have issues that may not be real obvious.

What size tires are we talking about? 75F350 is right, a worn out suspension will drive you nuts when you are trying to drive a straight line, but with a largely oversized tire you are going to road walk some, especially on an uneven road.
