gas mileage
i have a 79 f350 with a 429 and am roughly getting 8 miles per gallon,with a holley. if i upgraded to a 90's 460 what type of mileage am i looking at? now i know mileage concerns are stupid on a 460 but it only helps my wallet.

Since the 90's has higher compression, you might get an extra 1-2 mpg. You can buy alot of gas for what it will cost to put an EFI motor in that truck. My 88 F250 4x4 gets 9 all the time. Doesn't matter if it's loaded or not.
You can probably get that 1 mpg with a good tuneup on your current rig.
