Air Suspension

My 98 F-150 4.2L 4x4 Reg. Cab 5 speed I noticed beside the fuel shut off on the pass. side has Air Suspension written beside it. I know my truck doesnt have air ride but does this mean I am able to install it? Thanks.

I'm sure you could swap in a Navigator or Expy set up, it you got enough time and money

If I did that it would mean I could adjust the softness and stiffness of my suspension right? Thanks for the reply.

I have a set of Air-Ride helper springs on my 98 XLT 4.2. I can load the bed full, pump up the bags to about 60 psi (max 100) and not notice and sag on the leaf springs. I do notice the extra weight when leaving from a stoplight or coming to a stop.

It’s there because the same panel is used in the expy, which did have the option.
