Be very careful with getting a 6.0L because a lot of the early ones had problems, so make sure you get an oasis report. I would by the 7.3L because they were pretty much trouble free.

i find it funny that ford went from a 7.3 down to a 6.0, and then went back up halfway with a 6.7. i've heard the same about the 7.3's. i was doing some adding, even with diesel at 5 bucks and you could get 18-20 mpg's, it is cheaper or about the same as a v8f150 getting 15-16mpgs.

6.7 is the new cummins 6.4 is the new powerstroke. If you get 18 or 20 and that also is high way cruisin milage in all the cases I've heard.

i realized my mistake after i went to another 6.0 vs 7.3 thread. only reason i would ever consider a cummins is if the inline 6 meant cheaper insurance.

To answer the original question I would go with the 7.3 in my expireance they are much more reliable.
