new radiator needing paint?
I have purchased a new radiator for my '78 F250. The radiator is painted black like all new ones. I"m wanting to put it in a truck that will probablyl see some show and shine shows and want it to look good for a long time. What type of paint should I use to paint it? SHould I take off the existing new paint and get down to bare metal? Can i just paint over the existing new paint? Any thoughts are appreciated!

I would think that you could just scuff up the radiator with a red scotch pad and shoot it with some single stage automotive paint. Duplicolor has that ready to shoot paint that comes pre-mixed. I know a guy who used it and it doesn't look too bad on a car, (not show quality IMO), but if it's just a radiator, it should look pretty decent.
