Running Board mounting - HELP!!
Ok - I may have made a mistake - but I bought a set of factory Ford running boards for my 97 F150 at a swap meet - not knowing what I was doing I assumed that it had the correct brackets on it - of course the guy selling them assured me that they would fit a 97 F150 - it has the flat brackets that from what I can see on newer ones bolts right to the underside of the cab - problem is that my truck has an inch lip along the bottom of the cab so the flat brackets wont work - does anyone have or know where I can get picture/diagram of what it is supposed to look like or know where I can buy the correct brackets - any help would be appreciated. the best way I can describe them is they look just like the running boards on the Expedition - the surface is black plastic and they go from the back of the front wheel well to the back of the cab - I have the extended cab - 3 door - the guy told me they were factory Ford running boards - the brackets that are on them are L shaped.
