302 or 351w

just trying to find out what engine i have got in a 80 lincoln town car
i want to use this motor for my 50 merc truck but i not sure which one it is
like to know what engine codes are for this car any info would be great

302 has the timing coverthat go's right to the top of the deck(were head bolts on)351 will have about an inch there and intake is wider also.more than likely its going to be a 302

thanks guys i did some more looking on the web and found a decoder site that said it was a351w like i thought it was but wasn't sure if it was or not
