What to get for my birthday?
Well, I'll be turning 17 on June 19th....and still have no clue what I want for my birthday. I have just completely blanked out. I really want something for my truck....but I can't figure out what to ask for. Of course....a new over/under in 20 gauge would be nice too. Anyways, what do ya'll think I ought to ask for for my birthday?

Dad had a '78 F-150 that I loved...but he gave it to my half-brother b/c of the horrible fuel mileage....so the 73-79 trucks are out. Now....on that shotgun side of things....I've always been a 20 gauger b/c I mainly shoot skeet here at the house with it and don't really need a long range. However, I want to get into goose hunting eventually. Ben, have you ever done any goose hunting? Know anyone who has? I was just wondering how the 10 gauge worked. Also, I've never shot a 10 b/f, so what kind of recoil are we talking?

If you think that the 10ga. kicks,,,,,Try an 8ga.,,,, Thats a TEAM of MULES kickin'! Voice of experience! My Uncle had Great Grandfather's 8ga. And was given a chance of shooting it, My Dad ran for cover! My shoulder killed me for 3 days! And Yes,,,,I missed the cans too!!!
BTW, I had a Mossberg Model 1 Police squad gun. The ultimate 12ga., 7 up the tube and 1 in the chamber! 12ga. pump,20" full choke with a pistol grip, That was 1 MEAN sucker! Used to have family Reunions at my Uncle's place in Ky. All the Men would get their guns and the kids got to shoot their BB guns,,,, Anything that popped up got it with what I called Triple B Time,, Bullets, Buckshot, BB's.,,,,Nothing survived! And this is the way I learned gun safety!
My Late Uncle Wallace said "If it aint a 20ga.,,, It aint worth shooting!" He called my Mossberg a "Hollywood Gun!" meaning,,, "You Can Keep Shooting Without Reloading!" And he wanted nothing to do with my Wyoming Arms 454 either!
