Grease Seal

Is there any type of grease seal on the 4x4 trucks in this series? My 01 only makes this noise when it gets warmed up, but from the front drivers side it makes the sound of a rubbing of metal against rubber sound. My 96 did this once to and I ended up having to replace the grease seal, as it dried out. As far as I know, its the sealed bearing so what could be rubbing? Its definetly not coming from the boot itself. Its coming from where the metal part of the splined shaft goes into the bearing area.
