recently picked up this 1980 F250 with 10" springs, 351M 4spd, and 39" mickey thompsons so i bought it with no front end, before i bought it.. it had a Dana 60 front diff out of a 1994 F350 powerstroke, with a sky-manufacturing steering crossover kit.. so when i got it home, i had a dana 60 out of a 1990 F350 put it, installed skyjackers stainless braided brake lines front and rear, skyjacker's drop pitman arm (they recommend this pitman arm for a 6"-9" lift kit) and a sterling 10.25 rear diff.. 4.11s front and rear.. anyway.. after driving out 2-3 miles the front end starts to violently shake.. i mean.. i thought a wheel was about to come flying off it was so bad, i have absolutely no idea whats wrong.. im not to sure if it did this before i bought it or what.. any input would be greatly appreciated.
With all that work, I would get it aligned at the shop. A good shop will check it over for you first, since they can't align it with worn parts. Usually if you want to do the work after they have found worn parts, they will let you take the truck and charge a small fee for looking at it. When you get it fixed, then take it back in and get it aligned, and I bet the problem goes away.
