This is one awesome post. Lots of info and technical detail. I have a 6.0 and this really helps. Mine is the early 03 model. Just got a new HPOP last week. Ford stepped up and paid most of the repair even when the truck is out of warranty. Just out by 500 miles. I guess I have a decent dealer.

That's better than a decent dealer.
So if the truck is back together and the dealer covered most of the repair bill.....does that mean you are freed up to come to the GTG tomorrow? Be a good chance for a shakedown cruise.
I have to work. Really wanted to be there but since I am the new guy, I get last chance to take off and we are already short handed. I plan to make the next one though, no matter where.
OH, and my dealer is really more than decent. They have taken really good care of me. I would recommend them to anyone needing a diesel tech or other tech. Sales have been good to work with also. I guess it does help that I know almost everyone there and have for a long time. Funny thing is, my first real job for the first 7 years I was married was at a Chevy dealer in town.
We should start a list of prefered Ford dealers in Ar. so that we can direct anyone to a good one . Is there any reason the site wouldn't allow this Scott?

Yes. There are reasons it wouldn't be allowed, but as long as it's done correctly we should be able to do it without violating the guidelines.
Lets put it in the agenda for the GTG today and see if we can figure it out.
