I have an 08 King Ranch 6.4 and I am having a problem with the radiator. It has a leak at the top drivers side of the radiator right where the plastic housing is crimped to the metal radiator. Has anyone heard of a problem with this. I had a Ford service manager tell me that it was showing up as a problem, but that he had not told me that. Any thoughts besides go get it replaced.
My dads was just done, we were gone to Mexico for a week so he dropped his truck off before we went, replaced the rad, no big deal really but it is a known problem with them, it was the crimps and not bolts though I believe that were the problem, which is why you are seeing it leak at the crimps.

It is a documented problem on the job 1 trucks. I don't know why he would say it like he wasn't supposed to tell you.

The dealers have an instruction telling them to replace the radiater from certified stock if they see one that is leaking.
It is not covered under warranty as I am over the 36000 mile limit on the warranty and I was told it is not part of the drive train. Does the instruction to the dealers mean the repair and parts are paid for by Ford?
I would look around for a different dealer for sure. It should still be covered under the engine warranty. There are many ways for them to get it covered if they want too. Also, like mentioned before, it is a known problem that should be taken care of by Ford. Mine sprang a leak at about 11K. Just my 2 cents.
Don't be mad at me! Welcome to the toyota and honda equal quality! Be happy ford will fix it for free. Radiator leak is just the begining of problems.
why would I be mad ? Toyota was more of a problem for me than I hope ford will be. Cause my Toyota's were all a real pain in the azz. I am glad you are happy with um.
Just wondering my build 1 has been perfect so far. Delivered over a year ago. Should I maybe have my dealer inspect or pressure check it. Planning on towing over 3,ooo miles this summer and sure would not want to have it happen then. By the way our 90 Toyota 4 runner was the worst vehicle I ever owned with a lot of problems. My 6.4 has been the best vehicle I have ever owned so far.

Mine has been fine as well...and I took delivery on the same day as you did. Maybe we beat the radiator problems...mine was built in February.
