My son just got a 95 f150 4x4 with a 5.0l He's very proud of it as it is his first truck and it's in very good shape. My question is. We found in the door panel a sort of relay or something. It's black and rectangualer in shape and on the one side it the blades for the electrical hook up, on the other side, it is smooth with little black a button like thing on it. But it's not a button, just a tab. I look on my 93 f150 and found the same thing under the dash, directly under the ash tray. What is this and does it need to be there? On his truck it is not there, or hooked up. Like I said we found it in the door panel. I can get a picture of it if you need it for Identification.
I'll find the part a get the # off it for you. I'm at work and can't get a pic till tonight. I think you maybe right because, I don't remember hearing a door chime on it.
F2TZ10D840B .. Door Chime - 7 way terminals (Motorcraft SW2305)
The "plug" should have a FoMoCo ID number on it, which....if a chime, will include either 10D840 or 10B924.
Part # is E43B-10B924-AB So I asume from NumberDummy it is a door chime? If so where does it go. I looked again and don't see a place for it. The little button thing I described looks like it is for mounting it somewhere. Looks like it twisted into something.
