My son was playing in my truck and "adjusted" my power mirrors by hand. Now they still move, just not in the direction indicated by the joystick. Is there a simple fix for this?
Thanks
Are the mirrors loose in their housings? Exactly how do they respond to inputs from the mirror controls? For example, if you direct the mirror up, does it go up, down, right, or left?
I have to do this for people on thier brand-x's every now and then.
1. use the adjustment **** to move the motor in as if you were going to adjust the mirror in towards the inner, lower corner of the mirror housing. do it until the motor can't move anymore, for the mirror won't actually be in this position.
2. now adjust the mirror manually ( much as your son did) so that the miiror is in the same position as the motor is in (down and in ward)
3 if nothings broken the mirrors should operate properly.
