I broke down (literally) and decided that since this was tranny #3, I would step up and get a BTS.. I got the call today from Brian and he was building it!
Just curious how those who have one like them and what kind of things I will notice? Will I get more power to the ground or will the shifts bark the tires?
I still think my TC is a little too high of a stall speed, but that's what Brian thought was best for my truck when it had stock injectors... When you get a BTS it basically means you never have to worry about your transmission ever again!

Wow...these things are THAT good. My truck has 180,000 mileage of unknown history...hehe...I am thinking a new tranny might be in my near future.
The shifts are only as hard as you want them to be. A lot of that is controlled by the size of the holes in the valve body, which you can enlarge yourself if you want firmer shifts. IIRC, tuning also can affect how firmly the shifts are.
My BTS trans is absoutley fantastic, and I know first hand that the warranty is the best you can get should anything ever go wrong. You couldn't pay me to give up my BTS and I've got full confidence in it.

Excellent! Is that gonna work with your conversion you're doing or do you have to get a Dodge tranny?

Yes, the BTS is going to work with the conversion. I just need to get a PCS controller to control the trans. I'm not sure I'd do the conversion if I had to use a Dodge trans. They're junk to begin with (IMO) and are way more expensive to make stronger than what ours are.

IIRC, they are ~$4000. I'm not 100% positive though, as I paid significantly less for mine.
I race with my truck, couldn't beleive how it shifted. The day before I towed a 4000lb. boat home, couldn't believe how it shifted. That was one week after install. Approx. 75 miles on the truck before racing and towing. Would give up my wife before my BTS trans and truck.
A BTS is $4100.00, but speak with them directly. 870-422-FORD(3673)

Yep that is what I paid! They do charge a core deposit of $1000 but refund it when the core arrives at BTS, or you can send your tranny in first to avoid the core but its easier to use his Tranny crates (and I think he likes them back too )
