Best / Best Looking Mud Flaps

Now that I have a trailer I'm looking for a decent set of mud flaps for my 02 Limited.

Any recommendations?

As for cosmetics - all black, stainless bottoms, two part stainless,...?

Do I need fitting brackets? (Will they pull out of the plastic wheel wells?)

Note: I probably won't go for the HuskyLiner's - at least on the internet - they look a bit too small to save my trailer from rocks and sand erosion. Personally, though on most cars I've always liked the molded one, I've noticed lately that they've become too small to be of any practical function. The factory flaps on our Honda Pilot are almost purely cosmetic accessories!

I found new OEM molded fronts and rears on ebay for about $30/pair not long ago. They might not provide as much protection as others, but aren't as bulky either and installed in a snap. Don't pull much other than jetskis and cycles on a random basis at best - but for the price they did the trick. Dealer (of course) wanted to clobber me for the same thing.

I have the Husky ones on my rig, they are like the same as the ones sold at the dealer just without the white ford logo on them. They ran me around 35 or 40 a pair.

I didn't go the Husky/OEM route for the same reason as you. Instead hit an auto parts store, got a heavy duty generic 12x18" set of mudflaps and installed. Price was $15 regular, clearance for $5. Don't need any brackets, just use provided screws or if you want get some small stainless steel bolts to attach them with.

When installing make sure you are on level ground. I installed at home (no level ground) and think one of them is tilted a bit. Will look closer after it gets out of the shop (bearings and ball joints, fun fun).

Thanks for reminding me... someone bought me a set of Yosemite Sam "Back Off" flaps 15 years ago as a joke... have them sitting around somewhere. Should throw them on as a goof. I don't think you can even buy them anymore!

It's hard to tell from your pics in your gallery... does your X have the "cladding"? if so... Do you by chance have the OEM part numbers for the mud guards? Both front & rear #'s please.

Thanks!

If I could have found them that is what I was going to put on. Gotta love the classics!
