Wierd noise?

While driving around town the other day, I noticed a wierd ticking noise coming from under the hood. If I were to time the ticking noise it would be about 2 ticks per second. Does anyone know what this might be? Any help would be appreciated.

Open the hood and tell us where it's coming from

Exhaust heat shields or broken manifold bolts would be my first guess with what info you have posted.

It sounds like it is coming from the passenger side, around the manifolds, toward the front, around the pulleys. If it was a manifold leak wouldn't seal up after it warmed up?

Use a piece of garden hose and with one end in your ear, search around with the other end until you find exactly where it's coming from. A leaking manifold might not seal up when it gets hot. On the other hand, if it's coming from where you describe, it could be a loose timing chain (bad tensioner) - although that rarely happens.
