Evening minions. I was busy over the weekend. I got my 2 1/2" leveling kit on the superduty with the 35" Cooper STT's. I left my pics at home in the camera. I will get my wife to email them to me so I can post up. I used the shackel lift off of ebay. It wasn't too bad to install.

I had to come back to Texas yesterday for some schools.

You just need to make sure you get the right block. A D1ve block like i have is really only good up to around 800hp, then you need to add some hardblock to strengthen the bottom end. I believe the D0 block is the the better/more desired block, I can't remember the casting number, but it is the early 70's block which is getting harder to find.

The D9 block from heavy trucks is the high nickel content block with the taller deck. Generally speaking I think its the most desireable big horsepower big stroker block. Some can be bored out .100 (thats .100 over not .010) and handle a 598 stroker crank.

you go through 10 blocks to find one and the sonic check and xrays cost more than just buying an eliminator or svt block.

Nick#2,
If youve got some springs that would be great. Id really like them to be from a truck with a 5.4 gas engine.

Whats up Harry. Is the SC chapter missing me?

George is primer green and surface rust is poping out in some spots so I take OD green spray paint and touch it up from time to time. I guess eventually it will be camo. Im going to take it to Maaco or something like that one day for a el cheapo paint job.

Is that the first time youve seen the truck? Visually it really hasnt changed much in the past 2yrs.

I shouldve realized the rod journals were too narrow for 2 rods.

Thats a very common problem on 400+ HP SBCs

Can't say that I've ever seen that, but I bet it would make a racket at 7000 rpm when it lets go. Worst carnage I've ever had was a dropped valve and a smashed up head. Some new springs and a rebuilt head and I was back on the road.
