CatBack question
Hey all,
Just bought a TrueFlow Intake system for my 2006 Expedition and found that I'm getting up 40 more miles per tank improvement.
I'm seeing alot of people talking about and asking qestions about "catbacks", what exactly is this and would something along this help improve gase mileage?
I don't want to go over $200 - $250 and I don't want the sound that would make the wife notice (she already asked about the noise diff after the intake)
Any help, lessons and/or suggestions?

A cat-back is a full exhaust system that replaces everything after the cat convertor. Its usually one size bigger pipe with a free flowing muffler. You have your choice of single or dual outlets, and choice of mufflers. Stainless or aluminum. Get whatever brand you like, or sound you like. Make sure the pipe is mandrel bent, and you should be fine.
MPG improvments will vary. It all depends on how you drive. Most people like the louder sound so they tend to keep their foot in it to hear it better. You can see an improvment though.
