08 Nats
I did make it to Knoxville after a hell of Friday getting there. Just a summary, my electric fan bracket broke in Cookville, TN and fell back into my pullies damaging my wiring to the fan, went to Orielly's in Cook and replaced, after the comment of maybe that is the worst thing to happen, our ujoint(left my extra one @ home) had a come apart east of Crossville, TN, after Joe (from Mississippi) was the only one to stop and give me a lift to retrieve another one, replaced on I40 and continued on in with good ole Joe in tow.By the way, Joe Qualls thank you so much for all your help, there were a bunch of effies that passed us on I40 and didn't offer any help. I pray that I would not be that way, so guys of your are broke on the road and you see my truck passing you without stopping, I will take a cussing for that. Okay, we were not done yet, after making to Knoxville and just getting on the bypass, my d##n, fuel pump went out (2 weeks old) and again no spare, good ole Joe haul my butt again to the parts store and got another after that it was big boy drink time just about ready to go home. We finally made it to the hotel and then on to the show and registered with Joe in tow. We went back to the show Saturday early(we lost Joe) and enjoyed it. I met 48fordcoe and Donald and maybe some others, I missed the 11:00 am meeting due to running my month with some boys from Alabama. The attendance was down but the quality of the trucks were awesome and yes out of this world price range. I enjoy the high dollar trucks, but lean towards the ones that common people build and drive. So yet they are impressive but when I have seen the same custom f100 of the year for the last 3 years and the tailpipes have no discolor to them then put her back on the trailer and continue on to the next show. Well we did make it to the awards and I did win the no limit chassis (that I am going to use). I could not believe it, that made all my bad luck worth it. The trip made no problems and drove her about 80-85 in the rain, no trailer.
Tom, I need your address so I can get your award to you. 48FORDCOE has a BA 48 COE CREW CAB that everyone was drooling over and he won in the Big Truck Class. A great guy and new friend, we just need to get him down south here and use some of those great skills.
Thanks
I am happy for you!! You drove your truck and that is what it is ALL ABOUT!! I know others that trailer their vehicles, and what fun is that!! I have done both, and driving them to the show is a memorable experience!!! Especially when parts fail!!! LOL
Well I will be bringing some money for ya' so you can replenish your truck fund!!! LOL
Winning the frame---wowowowowo good for you,DUDE!!! So happy for you. GOOD things happen to good guys!!! Well will see you Friday--seems about right,as of now,,,,We will leave the 18' trailer so you will have enough room to load me. Hope that is ok.....THANKS and CONGRAT'S-----Bill
It was good to meet you in person after many emails and im's. Dude you are absolutely crazy. You have one slick 56 my friend. Definitely before you leave home heading to GSM F100 run if you go pm me and I will give you my phone numbers. I would think a guy would stop if he saw a fellow F100er down. I am not mechanic but I can drive a little and help whenever I can. Off my soapbox now. I agree with you I like to see the drivers. The high end trucks are beautiful but if you dont drive them I wonder where is the enjoyment. I was talking to Peggy Carpenter, Dan the bed makers wife, she was saying how much she enjoyed driving their 56 BW. I was sorting out my Vacations days last night at work. Going to try to save one to come down to your show. I work weekends but sure would like to make it.

I will not comment on the substance in the cup, but I needed something hard to drink after that trip there. By the way, something is wrong with your camera, I am not that fat. He He, look forward to see you again Don and hang out with the Music City F100 club, great guys. Don, Richard told me that fixed Glenn's hair before the Nats, is that true?

Sounds like after Joe did all that helping you enjoyed losing Joe
I know you didn't mean that but that is how it read for me. Sorry to hear about the bad times but you made it, and they make the memories that last forever. And you won a chassis, wow I thought those things were fixed, Congrats!!

On the chassis, I am still in awe of it. After I speak with No limit, I will let you guys know what this chassis includes and plans for it. Thanks.
48, your truck was just as deserviing as anything, well I liked yours better than that red one anyways. It was our pleasure and hope to see you down here @ the statline soon. I will get your gear in the mail.
