alittle help
hey all i am looking for a new truck my 79 f-100 tranny is gone out i am looking at a 1988 ford, it has a few problems is an old work truck but the two main problems is the starter and clutch. i know the tranny was pulled to fix the bell housing , was missing screws and cracked. now it has been put back together the starter tries to turn over and won't yes i know could be more then starter but starting there so please start there with me. i the clutch has pressure and a release point where it grabs but almost worn out. but i noticed when i climbed under the truck that the hoses go inside the tranny and is open. the hole where it connects to the hydralic pump connects it not closed off. i guess anyone have pictures so i can compare what should be there to make sure nothing missing. thank you

by cheap i mean a better price for good parts. cheap is not really what i mean owned enough old vw bugs to know that lol. also do these year trucks have a spring over axel on the front and rear leaf springs. i know this truck does so was curious. again it is a 1988 i have tried to find pics out of repair manuals and such but always seem to find the exploded view not all together. want to lift the truck. it is running a bw transfer case and only a 4 speed so the tranny and such has been swapped i know where to find that info but looking for a good sight for finding lift kits. yes i know the links on the left side panel and some of those are ok at finding stuff but looking for personal exp as well
