So I have two 5K axles setup for a 6foot wide deck that I keep moving around...I also have a old cotton trailer out back with a couple of 20 foot pieces of 4 inch x 3/16th channel iron...anyone have an idea of how much weight (safely) the 4inch stuff I have can haul?
I'm going to build it regardless, just to use up the cotton trailer (has a lot of 1.5 and 2inch angle iron it it as well) and figure while I'm cutting it up for the good stuff to save, may as well put the 4inch stuff to use.
My trailer has a 4" frame - I have put a yard and a half of gravel on it. I have it set up so that when the weight gets excessive it sits on top of the axle - (no springs when loaded more that 2K ) which adds extra strain to the frame.
How you going to stop that much weight? I figured I would have to run into something if I needed to stop fast!
