X code spring installation

I'm very close to upgrading my front V code springs to X code. For those of you who have done the X code mod...have you been able to use your existing shocks? Any other work required as a direct result of the upgrade?

any reason that you want to do this? the x codes will only give you about 1/4 to 1/2 inch more that what you have now.. i'd bet others will be wanting the v codes from you.

The Vs are starting to sag a bit. I can get a pair of Xs for $275 shipped, but that sounds a tad pricey. I was figuring on at least another 1" with the Xs.

When I changed to X codes on my pickup I gained a good 1", but my springs were sagging quite a bit. No need to change shocks.
