Help! 6.0 trouble codes
I bought an '03 F-250 CC, long bed 4x4 that now has about 139,000 miles on it. I made a custom 4" exhaust with no CAT or muffler, (sounds awesome!) a K&N cold air intake and Hypertech Power programmer. After installing the cold air intake and doing the exhaust I drove it and the emmisions light came on. The codes were (P006A MAP-Massor volume Air Flow Correlation) and (P0401 EGR Flow insufficient) After some reserch I found quite a few people have had the emmisions light come on after modifications. I Installed a BD "Boost Builder" that claimed to add more boost and performance and keep the light from coming on. (Wires into the MAP sensor) It was off for a day and came back on. Iv recently installed the Hypertech and had to clear the codes to install it, the light stayed off for 3 days and came back on. It seems like there should be a way around this.
My questions are; has anyone else had similar problems? What should I check? Should I put the stock air box back in? I was also told when the light comes on the ECM goes into closed loop or "limp mode" is that true.
I know a lot and am pretty mechanically inclined but dont know it all and am always searching to learn new information. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
