Ebp Sensor Cleaning Gone Wrong

Well finally got around to pullingt= theEBP tube and sensor today and wouldnt you know it something went wron. When i was pulling the sensor out after I had it about half way out the it broke off leaving half the threads in the bracket. Anyone no a easy way to get this out? Also when you guys do yours it seem like they a packed with soot mine was not there was only a little bit of soot in my tube so I am pretty sure that I still have a fuel mileage bug. Anyhelp would be appreciated.

Thanks

may have to take the bracket off im not really shure i'll bump it for ya tho. also are you sure it didn't have more soot? did you spray brake cleaner through it and push a wire all the way through... still just a "little"? you may wanna go ahead and start checkin into a new tube

Did the sensor itself break or the screws holding in the bracket? Have you disconnected the bottom side of the tube yet to give you a little more play to work with?

The tube is off I sprayed brake cleaner thru and it came out other end dirty ran wire thru tube sprayed blake cleaner thru till it came out clean. So yes I have the tube out, the sensore snapped in the middle of the threads so half of it is in the bracket nut and the rest is in my hand.

Thanks

Would have, could have, should have and hindsight is 20/20. I posted a couple of months ago that I sprayed mine heavily with PB Blaster, and let it stew for four hours and it came apart like a piece of cake. I think the stuff you broke is stealership only items, though I've heard that you can use brake line and make your own tube. Is it really worth it though? The tube is about 50 bucks. You will be able to say you lived and learned when you get it back together.

Pull the bracket off and then you might be able to use a large easy out to get the sensor out. When I did my EBPS I had to remove the bracket as the threads for the tube nut were galled and I had to chase them. There's nothing special behind that bracket. I used a little bit or Permatex when I reassembled and haven't had any problems.
