Finally got around to doing the coolant flush and installing my 203* thermostat. I only got about 5 gallons out when I drained the radiator and then got a little bit more out of the block drain on the driverside. I couldnt get the block drain on the passengerside to turn so I left it. I then pulled the thermostat and put it back together without the thermostat. I filled it up with well water and run it a while. Not sure how much came out when I drained it that time, so then the thermostat neck was leaking so bad I just held the water hose to it with the truck running for about 5 mins and I had clean water coming out(with no thermostat). Then I put the new thermostat in and filled it with distilled water and it would only hold 4 gallons. Then I run it for 30mins probably and drained it and filled it with 4 gallons of antifreeze and 2 gallons of distilled water. So my question is should I be ok? I also installed the fitting for the bypass filter and ran the line for it but I havent installed the filter yet(ran out of time).
Mine only took around 6 gallons and that was forcing it. I pulled both block drains and the radiator drain and pointed the nose uphill and downhill to get as much out as I could. I used the 50/50 premix of Rotella ELC.

.
this is why it's not a good idea to use premix
after flushing you can add 4 gallons of full strength and top off with water and have 50/50 mix
you have 75% the coolant you need
