Tire size?????
What size tire can I safely go with on my 2002 crew cab 4x4 7.3 without effecting speedo and noticeable power difference as well as fuel mileage and not having to lift the truck, from the original 265/75/16. I'am looking at 285 or possibly 315's. Thanks.

You'll suffer on mileage going to any larger tire. I ran 305/70/16 with no rub. I'm running 295/75/16 now, and it's a better fit on a stock rim. The 305's looked better, but I'll do 295's again when these wear out as they wear way better.

Actually with a little larger tire, as long as its not a whole lot wider, youll slightly improve mileage on the highway. But slightly decrease in in city driving. A 285/75/16 tire and a 305/70/16 are the same height of a tire, just the 305 is a little wider. You wont notice a HUGE power loss or gain, and you wont notice a HUGE difference in mileage one way or the other from changing from your stock size.
