Adjustable rockers

I have a 390 that i have built and am installing adjustable rockers, I am having a set of 3 finger oil baffles shipped to me but i dont think they will be here in time for me to run my truck on the memorial weekend mud runs, I was wondering is there anyway i can run the regular baffles and what would happen if I had to do this for 2 or 3 days, Thanks Guys.

You'll be fine with the others for now. You do know the fingered baffles fit only 66 and earlier intakes that have been cut for them right?

Yes I knew that I just wanted to know if I could run them without and what would happen if i did. I heard that it might smoke and just want to know if it will do any damage. Thanks

I got another quick question which might sounds dumb but i dont want to F this thing up, When checking for 0 clearance you are just going until you fell slight pressure on the puchrod correct and then tighten another 3/4? Thanks
