Is the Ford V10 that's in most Motor Homes basically the same one in the big Ford Trucks? Just wondering since we have a Ford V10 in our 08 Fleetwood motor home.

If you have the E-Series based motorhome of any year it will not have the latest 3V V10 like in the 05'up F-series have. Ford still uses the 2V 305hp 420tq V10 in the e-series as far as I know. The only thing that changed in the E-series is the switch to the 5spd torqueshift tranny at sometime around 2005 or 2006. Other than that all V10s are pretty much identical regardless of application, even in industrial generator form. I know very little about the Class A motorhomes but I would bet they still use an identical V10 like the E-series and F-series do only difference possibly being a 2V or 3V engine.

Class-A's get the 3V. Class-C still have the 2V.

Still would like someone to tell the difference between the 05-07 intake and the 08 intake. Anybody know?

IS there a difference? Or just that you can't buy a CAI for a 2008 yet?

For some reason I thought the 08' has more chambers to reduce noise. I don't see a reason for Ford to change the intake in 08'.

You can see a picture of it in my gallery. Air intake that is. Intake manifold is unchanged.

My 05 only has two cats and a muffler, no resonator so I'm pretty sure none of the 05+ have resonators.

Look in my gallery and you can see a bunch of pictures of my '08 exhaust. Completely different form the '05-'07s.
