Cool Old blue under testing

I ran old blue for 1hr. turned it off and tried to restart,and it said my battery is dead,let it cool for 1 hr. and it started like there was no problem,anyone got any ideas? Please feel free to e-mail me @hammerandnail@comcast.net

Go through the wiring in your starter circuit, clean the connections, and check for corroded insulation. Mine was acting dead hot and doing just that. Cleaning the connections and replacing the starter lead wire - found just a speck of white oxidation where the wire was shorting on the inner fenderwell - cleared it right up. Also, lots of people here have had similar problems - a search on "won't crank" or some such should turn up a lot of other remedies.

Yes an d no,I just did the top end,and the prob started after that. ended up replacing the ignition systm all togather
