Bought my baby 7 months ago and I'm finally getting ready to change all of my fluids. I've found all the capacities except one, the power steering. All the owner's manual says is to fill it to the line in the reservoir and the service manual DVD isn't much help either.
I've got the capacities for the transfer case, transmission (yikes!) and front and rear differentials, but does anybody know the capacity of the power steering system for a flush? I've already bought over 20 quarts of Mobil 1 ATF and I'd like not to have too much of a surplus when I'm left over, but I want to have enough to finish the job. My wife is already not happy about how much this is costing so I'd like not to push the price much higher regardless if I can return the extra.
It doesn't take much, I'll tell you that. Two weeks ago I was low so I went to add and ended up overfilling and it went everywhere and all over my white concrete driveway.
Thanks for the replies and thanks for the link wickerad. I stopped by the dealership on the way home and asked. Their told me about 3-4 quarts for a flush.
