dashboard gone dark

dashboard gone dark

The display to my ac has gone out twice now, once today and about 6 months ago. It wont show me the temp and I can not adjust it or even turn it on ( as there is no display). It always come back on once i turn the truck off leave it off for about 30 mins and turn it back on. What could be causing this?

Mine has done that a few times over the 3 1/2 years I've owned it though not recently. Some guys have had to replace the 'head unit' as it can be a sign it's going out.

Mine has done it on two occasions. Try turning your headlights on and off. That's brought it back for me the times it has occured. But Kepler is right in that it might eventually go out permanently.
