65 5.0 headers

What headers will fit with an '87 5.0 engine in a 1965 f100?

Since 302 was not available in 65 will need to look for set that fits later model truck, believe same from 67 thru at least 72 and perhaps later. Purchased set of Hooker long tubes, had some minor grinding to get additional clearance where the header flange meets the crossmember on the passenger side. Also had to lift engine slightly to get the passenger side headers in position. I used hedman offset extentions, purchased thru 'summit' to address issue of routing pipes around transmission crossmember. Posting thread of pic's where member modified crossmember to address the issue. Believe 'Sanderson' will make headers to fit.

Stock shorties should work great.

Ditto I had a 72 Fastback and ditched the Cleveland for a HO and there was tons of room. Came a bit close to the steering box but otherwise it was a drop in the bucket.

If recall, went to long tube because of the power steering upgrade. If considering going bendix power steering, don't think shorties, or long tubes will work.
