Here is my truck now.. 86 f-150 six inch lift plus 3 in body. Both of which will get removed this weekend. Still need to finish the 302. I bought it with the 3 inch body then put the 6 inch in after the motor blew. So I have never driven it yet and I already want to SAS it.

The tear down begins friday.

Are there any mud racers on this site? The only mudding event we have around here is a mud drag. I can't decide on gears. The truck will have a 302 HO gt40 heads mild cam. Not much you can do with speed density. I'm trying to get the gearing down so I can start in 3rd gear low range. I'm thinking without a big block that probably won't be possible? Guessing with my SB I'm stuck with either 5.13 or 4.88s?

I'd like to but I don't have the time or money right now. To switch to maf means at least a 393 stroker.

go find a MAF 'stang in a scrap yard and pull the harness and ECM out of of it. It'll take a couple of hours but it'd be cheep.

The harness may be cheap but that new motor wouldn't be!!

Anyone have an idea on the gears? 5.13 would probably be too deep for the road right?

Hey Captain here is my 460 truck.
