felt washers/seals

I am now aiting on getting my 292 back from the shop. I have redone most of the engine compartment but i need a pair of felt washers that go on the clutch equalizer shaft-to keep the grease in. Dose anyone know where I could get them or what else I could use? I will try and get some pics when its all done.

felt washers/seals

I figured someone would have answered by now, so I'll suggest two sources. Carpet shop and upholstery shop. Either one should have a source of material that would work. This is not rocket science, just keeping the majority of the dirt out and the grease in. Heck, lots of cars had no seal at all on the bellcrank. Just wheezed the grease out on a regular basis, pushing any dirt with the old grease.
Carpet shops would have different styles of underlayment, one of which might work. Upholstery shops should know where to get felt, which you could cut to fit. A last shot is a restoration shop, they should know where THEY get those materials.
Just a few wandering thoughts...
