i recently bought a 1987 f 150. its a 4.9l fuel injected 300ci. up till a couple of days ago it won't start. it turns over but doesn't catch. i checked the throttle body, clutch kill that i read about on here. can't smell gas in the exhaust orn engine. checking fuel pressure tomorrow. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks
Even before you start the engine when the key is first turned to the run position the fuel pump should cycle for a second or 2, if it doesn't then that's the first thing to check.
