Setting the timing question!

Should the timing be set when the engine is warmed up, or while still cold? and where in the marking should I be O, 10 ir what?

warm, spout out, 10 degrees btdc.

Hi,
The engine should be warm, remove the SPOUT connector, set the timing to 10deg BTC then replace the SPOUT

and where is the Spout Connector? cause I am just hooking up the timing gun to my # 1 cylinder
