I was just wondering if anyone knows what the actual difference is in the front suspension components of the F250 and 150 other than spring rates. The radius arms, I beams, and steering components all look and measure to be the same. Am I just wrong in not being able to find a difference, or is there really no difference.
F150's all came with a dana 44 TTB front axle.
the F250 came with both a D44 and a D50 TTB front axle.
the F150 uses coil springs, the F250 uses leaf springs.
I am talking about the 2wd, that is why I have radius arms to measure. So yea are there any differences or is the only difference the spring rate of the coils? I guess I can jsut make this lift easy and use king shocks with airbags insted of springs but I am kind of lazy to fab bag brackets.
I have an 86 f250 in the yard, I could measure the radius arms on that for ya... not sure how much that would help, if any....
I apreaciate the offer but I have radius arms for both here, and they measure identical so I'm guessing that there is no difference. Here is the situation I have a full Camburg long travel front suspension for a 150 minus the springs. I have a 250. I need to get the springs. what I have found out is that the springs from most mfg. seem to be the same for both trucks. Now my problem is that I have a 460 but all I can find are springs for a 351. Am I screwed or is there some company that makes lift springs for a 250 or 350 with a big block or a diesel?
