Hello everyone,
I just got four Hella rallye 4000 lights, two euro and two cornering, I have a bull bar on the front and already put the two euro there. I am wondering if it is possible to mount the two cornering on the front bumper and if so how would this be done? I looked and most of the front facia is plastic and I don't really want to drill through the chrome bumper. I have a 2002 150 ext cab 4x4 with the 4.6. Thanks Todd
I put 2 Hella 500 lights behind the stock grill (Shelby style) of my 2002. Looks pretty good, not sure if it would be a good spot for "cornering" lights (what are those?). I made a small bracket out of some angle iron and bolted the lights to the fiberglass support behind the grill.
Thanks for the idea. How did you get the lights through the grill? Did you have to cut holes in there? The cornering lights through more light in a wider patern than the Euro lights do. I can always switch them around if needed.
My lights are behind the grill, I have the stock honeycomb grill, so this wouldn't work as well if you have a billet grill with very small openings or something like that. To do this, take off the plastic radiator cover under the hood and if you are really flexible and have small hands that should give you enough space to work. I was gonna paint the grill anyway, so I just took the whole front grill off the truck. Just take out the headlights and a few screws and the whole headlight/grill assembly comes out. If you want to seperate the grill from the surround, there are some plastic tabs on the back, just be carefull or you will break them.
