72 F-100 360 missing

I have a few questions on my Dad's F-100. He passed away a few months ago and now his truck is acting up. It was missing real bad so I replaced the points with Accel points elimination kit. That helped alot, but it still will stumble miss when accelerating. There are a few things. It has been on Propane since the mid eighties. I am going to adjust the timing, does anyone know if it is different with propane than gas? Also, the vacuum advance is not hooked up on the Dizzy. Where is it suppose to be hooked up to, intake vacuum or on the carb?

Thanks

if you still have a vac hose attached to the dist, where does it reach? if its length lines up with a vacuum port on either the carb or man. its worth a try to re-attach and see if it helps. timing is likely diff. check an old Chiltons guide, some list optional propane power for some makes, and if so they should give tune-up specs......

The vac hose reaches to the back of the passengers side of the carb. The propane kit just bolts to the top of the carb, it is a 2100 carb. The kit is dual fuel so the carb is still there. I don't see any ports where it came off of, but I was kind of in a hurry. If someone could tell me whether it is carb vacuum or manifold that would take care of that. I have read that the timing can be more advanced with propane because of the higher octane. I did not have my timing light with me, but I am going to my mom's during memorial day weekend and I will check it then. I suppose the timing could be different since I eliminated the points.
