I'm interested in replacing the OEM 3rd brake light with an LED one on my 06 F250. I've seen several of them advertised on ebay, but most of them appear to be for 99-03 F250s. The one I'm particularly interested in is for 99-03 models. My question is will these fit my 06 as well? They appear to be the same size as my OEM 3rd brake light.
You see alot of products listed as fitting 99-03 Superdutys because that is when they changed engines from the 7.3 to the 6.0. But most of the body pieces are interchangable.
Yeah... I bought the smoked one and it had a chrome ring around it lol... but I liked the light pattern from theirs best. The smoke really isn't even as dark as I want it so I'll be spraying it with some tint spray sometime this summer. That should take care of the chrome ring too.

which one had chrome around the bezel..putco or recon?
You could do what I did and cut out the back of your stock light and glue in 4 of the led stoplight bulbs, It works very nice and bright and is cheaper than buying a new unit.
