2002 exhaust studs corroding/ recall?

2002 exhaust studs corroding/ recall?
I found what is ALMOST identical to my truck on ebay. The guy says that the exhaust studs need to be replaced and that ford hd a recall on this. I dont recall ever seeeing or hearing about it.
Is it common? whats the ballpark on this job?

Yes it is a common problem for the exhaust manifold stud nuts to break off, no there is not a Ford recall. Costs ~$1,000 to have both banks studs replaced with an updated part.

Broken studs is super common on 99'-04' V10s and 97'-03' 5.4ls. My dad got all his studs replaced with 6 that were broken for under $500 at a local shop. As far as the recall I'mm 99.9% shure that guy is full of it. A V10 has been in my family since mid 1998 (1999), dad has and 03' and I have an 04'. We NEVER got or heard of a recall for exhaust manifold bolts.
