2007 f450 head unit question
Hey how are you guys.. i got an f-450 crew work truck that has just am/fm radio double din style.. I want to switch that out and stick in another oem one with a cd player. I don't want aftermarket, i want oem. What guidelines should i use to finding one that will fit? Also, do i need to purchase them "unlocked" (what does that mean). And will this be a pain in the *** or pretty much plug in play?
I have a buddy with an '07 focus... would that one work?

welcome to fte it is a great group of fine people as far as the swap from what i have been told it has to come from a sd and i believe the radio/cd are the from 05 up on the 01 i had and the 08 i now have it was a simple swap plug and play on both years try this link and you will find what you need

so just to clarify your post... the radio has to be from a Super Duty and it has to be from an '05 and newer vehicle?... the ending of your post reads slightly off.. lol.. been a long day over here too ..

sorry i was just saying of my swaps in the past i see the sd radios you want all the time in the for sale section and fairly reasonable too there may be a swap from a car radio but i think it was the taurus radio that had the same wiring pattern as the sd
