My plans change from minute to minute. First I was gonna go to nipawin, yank the 460 out of the ol 77, and make the rest of the truck into a garbage trailer. Now it looks like we might go to wynyard to check out a lawnmower!
Do some fishing, some beer tastin' ( not in that order )
And still ponder the thought of buying an 01 Mustang GT I have had my eyes on. You know your getting older and have become a father when the fact that the 01 Mustang GT has 2 tether anchors for baby seats becomes a selling feature.....
It's been on the lot for awhile. ( which may not be a good thing ). I haven't run a Carfax on it yet. I want to see if the dealer has already and if he hasn't then I will pony up the 30 bucks. I've owned 2 5.0L Stangs and would really like a cammer GT. It would complement both my 5.4's quite nicely.
It has some minor hail damage on the roof but no damage on the hood or trunk lid. ( which also makes me leary ) I haven't test drove it yet but the interior is in great shape and there are some minor surface scratches. It's black so every little thing shows up.
I might take it for a spin and have a look at it. I was thinking of offering 8500 cash and see if he bites. I figure with 1.30 gas and the fact he has been sitting on it for awhile he might take it.
When I found my 87 stang it had been on the lot for along time also. They wanted 6500 for it. I took i for a test drive and found the rad leaked a litlle, and the cluch was weaker then it should have been. All said and done I took it off the lot for 3200 bucks.
So for this one sitting, and having the minor hail damage, you just might be a winner at 8500 bucks. The car looks awesome from the picture too!
Would be nice to have a Stang again. I'm the worst when it comes to making purchases like this. I know the money could go to other things but "we" are in the position that we can afford it.
It's definetly ( sp? ) a luxury purchase. I know I could pick up a fox body 5.0L again but I've been there done that. I miss the hell out of my 91.
It will be a spur of the moment purchase that's for sure.
I am done seeding before the long weekend for the first time in twenty years, now I just have to figure out what to do. Matthew is sick so I don't think we are going any where anyways.
