Well, anything that limits slip in a RWD vehicle is worth having, as for the money, I do not know. I have not driven a current Mustang in the snow.
In any RWD vehicle, good real snow tires deflated so they have a flat foot print counts much more then a traction device.

It silly not to have it on a mustang, you need all the help you can get. With 300 hp and 18" performance tires, the TC is the only thing that allows my GT to even move in the snow. It's winter use is kept at a min.
