Getting ready to take the old girl on her first ride after oil pump replacement, brake problems etc. So far all I've done is drive it 5 miles home after purchase and then began repairs. Was going to take off in her wednesday but after insatlling new wiper blades I turned on the wipers and guess what?No biggie with a $400.00 purchase price I can afford to by her some new parts I guess. Now I'm off to get her new shoes and go junking to find a wiper motor plus race car parts about 100 miles round trip wish me luck.
Well made it home, 1.Battery crapped out after gassing up- replaced. Almost home the temp gauge gave up the ghost. On the plus side drove ok smooth running, $20.00 gave me between 1/2 and 3/4 tank on rear tank we'll see how many miles she goes on 5 gallons. Over all pretty pleased needs a few bugs worked out but who cares I love It!
congrats on the new truck. keep up on those problems and eventually youll have a nice ride. i was the same way. bought mine for $300, and after about $700 its pretty good. all i need is a new clutch, but ive been holding off because of school. this summer though!
It is fun to drive, I had a 78 F100 with a 300 that I ran to over 300,000 miles before the roof rusted thru, owned two new chevy trucks since got rid of em , bought a car for mileage then found a truck I actually liked. My wife hates it just like the old f100 so its doing something right.
I have to park my 79 f250 4x4 in the garage. My wife says it lowers the property values in the neighborhood if I park it in the driveway. Last of the real trucks.....
