I have a 1994 f150 4x2 5 spd. most of the time when i let off the gas or let off the clutch to take off i hear a clank noise. It varys in loudness and happens randomly. It started doing this about 3 weeks ago. I checked the U-Joints and they are tight, however the axle is not. With the truck off and in 1st i can push it a few inches either way and the driveshaft doesnt move. If i put it in N, put the parking brake on and try to move the drive shaft, it turns about 1/4 of a turn before it gets tight. The U-joints seem tight and i cant move the drive shaft if the trucks in 1st with the parking brake off. does this seem normal or like somthing getting loose in the axle?
