help, replacing timming chain

Hi,

So far I have removed the raditor shroud, and drained the rad. I have removed the two rad. hoses. I'm tring to remove the harmonic balancer 15/16" bolt. I added a long pipe to my rachet but it won't lossen, i'm turning the bolt clockwise to loosen. Correct?? Will i need to barrow an air wrench to loosen this bolt? I got all the bolt loosen on the water pump, can I just lift the water pump straight up and out. Or do I need to loosen the ac compressor to?

Thanks for any help,

Mike

The harmonic balancer bolt is better taken out with an impact, if you can hold the engine still you can undo it with a big breaker bar. When you get all the waterpump bolts out, yes it just comes off.

I ran a flat bar between two of the four bolts, that hold then the fan blades. Even with a breaker bar it won't loosen, it's clockwise right to loosen?

I always just put a pipe on the breaker bar, socket on the bolt, un-hook the coil wire, and used the starter to break the bolt loose. has worked on every Ford I've ever owned. Position the pipe/breaker bar either on the frame or angled to the ground. Probably not the smartest way to do it, but.......
